I never use it anyway, so no loss. And if the loss of discord would ruin GW for you, you really need to explore other skill options.

Edit: Lol! and like End says above - I'd avoid the many QQ threads.

A caller build makes discord more effective(a LOT) but a lot of people i know don't use it...and QQ when tehir discord didn't work...that's probably why they an AP nerf would create some problem to Dway...

I have never used the builds that are popular so it wouldnt bother me at all (dont even think I have a discord build on any or my heroes).... the only necro one I use is mm, and that has changed over time, but olias still has it and I use him (no other necro gets much play time with my characters).

so....nerf it, wont bother me one bit.

I like discord because I like Necromancers as they are my first and favorite class. Honestly if there is anything in this game I'm addicted to it's minions. People like minions and lots of green dots. Discord is a powerful build that is used rampantly but it's so one sided how can someone hate it? All minion builds have huge weaknesses with interrupts, corpse denial, ect. It's just a build that people use and most don't understand it's synergy with other skills.
Don't hate people, why I am even answering a another "everyone that doesn't design builds is a moron". I am answering it because not everyone is here is a troll, like everyone who runs Discord is not a weak player.

The Synergism between Discord and other skills makes it a good skill for building. You can run a triple minion discord with shambling horrors to trigger bleed and satisfy part of the req for discord. You can discord bomb mixing minion bombing with discord spam. If your in a corpse free zone the discord Necros can work great with spirits instead doing a triple rit subbed team.

Don't hate meta
use it, get bored of it as you have done here, but next time you get bored.... change it up and re-invent it. Don't go to a forum to talk about how the world would be great if the guild wars community was an 8th as awesome as you. If you say "I don't play metas" I am wondering how you got all your awesome build knowledge never playing any skills self-deemed as overpowered and being unwilling to try other builds. Trolls go back to your mountain top and continue to look down on the rest of us having fun ;p I enjoy discord and the 400 billion other builds clogging my hard drive, some mine some not I love all my builds.

Wouldn't change my game one bit. I don't use any of the "ways". Ever.

You know there are other op necro builds that they might be using them for, right? People bring necros (and rits, and mesmers) because they're really good in pve, and removing discord won't change that.

First of all, Discordway is far from game breaking, so there's not really much need for a nerf. What it is, despite what you hear from the negative nancies out there, if a powerful spike based build with good both good offense and good defense. Its also generally pretty easy to use (and heroes run it more or less as they should). If you can't do WiK with discord heroes (yes even in HM) its because you fail to understand something, or have let your brain atrophy.

Anyway, if discord was nerfed, it wouldn't be a big deal. There are many other builds out there that are just as effective (or more) than discordway.... Sabway, Arcfenway, general spiritway, panic + ER protter + MM, etc. Anyway, just because people add necro heroes doesn't mean they are using discord. Necros generally perform exceptionally well due to the craziness of Soul Reaping. This would be true (and was true before discord was buffed down to a 1 sec cast) even if discord got smiters booned. N/Rt healer heroes have been outperforming monk heroes for pretty much as long as they've been around.

I don't think I've ever used discord as anything but an optional elite on an bomber hero.

I wince slightly whenever I join a pug and the leader decides nobody is allowed to bring heroes that aren't discord.

People who know how to play properly will just go back to playing regularly and people who don't will QQ. I never used any of the sabway/discordway for a long time. I always used my own builds when getting my 1st GWAMM in 2008. It was not until I asked some guys in the mesmer forum what they recommended for vanq'ing with a mesmer that I found out about the AP caller build and used it to vanq earlier this year. After using it for that purpose I never loaded it up again.

I think the fact that I have done everything on all my characters before these meta's erupted on the scene contributes more to my exclusion of them from my repertoire than any other reason. I just went though the game at a different time so they are not really on my radar. But yeah, if anyone was actually paying any attention to GW1 those builds would have been nerfed a long time ago.

The current live team looks like they will water the game down even more and eventually remove what little strategy is left in the game so the lovers of pve meta play should not have anything to worry about.

lol 1st of all, i got thru Wik fine 4 times using mostly discord EVEN tho Anet Made wik to be "discord proof" PPL use discord becuz it is EFFECTIVE. not because of any Gimmick. And i actually only have full dicord on a few chars, but like the first dude said, I wont stop using them becuz of snobbery of to prove im a better player, cuz heros dont mean shit!!!!! i will destroy u in 1v1 lol :P
